Outpatient Treatment

This consists of therapeutic services such as individual and group therapy or counseling, education, recovery supports and case management services. Outpatient treatment services are intended to assist you in managing mental health and substance use disorder symptoms.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

This option uses medication, prescribed by a doctor, to help manage withdrawal symptoms or reduce cravings, thus allowing you to focus on managing your recovery. Regardless of the medication used, this treatment is offered in conjunction with counseling. Some of the most common medication-assisted treatment offered here include:

Suboxone®(buprenorphine/naloxone) treatment: An oral film taken daily that may benefit individuals with opioid dependence. Replacing the opioids in your system, allowing you to focus on getting other areas of your life back on track. In our office, this medication is used only for treatment of opioid dependence; we do not offer pain management services at Recovery Pathways, LLC.

Vivitrol®(naltrexone) extended release injections: An injection administered once monthly that may benefit individuals with alcohol and/or opioid dependence. Vivitrol is not an opioid replacement ; rather it blocks the “high”  feelings of opioids/alcohol and drastically reduces cravings allowing you to focus on getting other areas of your life back on track.

Program Expectations

There are three phases of office based treatment at Recovery Pathways.

The first phase of treatment, your intro phase, will last 4-8 weeks and during that time weekly appointments are required. For those receiving substance use disorder treatment, weekly urine drug samples will be collected and with the maintenance of clean drug screens and progress (as determined by the treatment team) you will graduate to intermediate care.

The second phase of treatment, the intermediate phase, will last 4-8 weeks and during that time biweekly appointments will be required.

The third stage of treatment, the stable phase, will last as long as you are stable. During this time monthly individual counseling is required.

Random urine drug screens are part of all phases of substance use disorder treatment. Coordination of care with your primary care physician and other treatment providers is highly recommended.
